Coupang Play, the South Korean over-the-top (OTT) streaming service, announced on May 13 that it will provide a free live broadcast of the historic women’s football match between South and North Korea. The game is the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Women’s Champions League semifinal between Suwon FC Women and North Korea’s Naegohyang Women’s Football Club, scheduled for May 20 at 7 p.m. at Suwon World Cup Stadium.

This marks the first time a North Korean women’s football club has traveled to South Korea for an away match, and the first official inter-Korean women’s football clash in 12 years. Coupang Play plans to broadcast all matches leading up to the final.

In a separate sports marketing move, OTT platform Wave announced it has selected Kim Seo-ah, a 12-year-old middle school student born in 2012, as its brand ambassador for the 2026 season. Kim is an amateur golfer currently competing on the KLPGA tour. Wave will collaborate with KLPGA and KPGA digital broadcasts to produce YouTube content, feature its logo on uniforms, and host fan events to deepen engagement with golf enthusiasts.
