Cris Gambaré and Camilla Orlando closely monitored Brazil’s victorious campaign at the South American Women’s U-17 Championship on Saturday night. Speaking directly from Defensores del Chaco Stadium in Asunción, Paraguay, the CBF Women’s National Teams coordinator and the Women’s U-20 National Team head coach praised the Young Canaries for their achievement under head coach Rilany Silva.
“I feel extremely proud of the work carried out by the CBF, this integration between coaching staffs leading to another title. I can only say we are on the right track—the staff delivered an impeccable performance, and the players showed tremendous dedication throughout the tournament. I believe there is still much more to accomplish,” said Cris Gambaré.

“I was delighted to be able to attend because staying connected is crucial for us. We grow as coaches, we strengthen as the Brazil national team, and we deepen our vision of what we want to build and bring to the senior squad. It was an outstanding match, and it was very meaningful for me to witness the title win against a strong opponent,” said Camilla Orlando.
Brazil remained unbeaten throughout the South American Championship, securing five wins and one draw. Earning their sixth title marks the first trophy for coach Rilany Silva since taking charge of the Brazil national team.
Additionally, during the continental tournament, the Young Canaries clinched a spot in the World Cup for the category, scheduled to take place between October and November this year in Morocco.
