Brighton midfielder Jack Hinshelwood found the net just 35 seconds into the team’s home match against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the 36th round of the English Premier League (EPL).
The 21-year-old’s strike marked the fastest goal in Brighton’s EPL history, according to Opta.
The league’s all-time record for the quickest goal belongs to Shane Long, who scored for Southampton against Watford in the 8th second of a match during the 2018/19 season.
Brighton currently sit eighth in the EPL table with 50 points, while Wolverhampton are in last place with 18 points.
