The fifth round of the 2026 MotoGP calendar kicked off this Friday at the Bugatti Circuit in Le Mans, and this weekend could add fresh records to its storied history. Here are the most notable ones still standing:

**Most Wins: Jorge Lorenzo**

Jorge Lorenzo leads with six victories at Le Mans—five in the premier MotoGP class (between 2009 and 2016) and one in the now-defunct 250cc category. Marc Márquez follows with four wins (three in MotoGP and one in Moto2), his last coming in 2019.

**Most Successful Manufacturer: Honda**

Honda tops the constructor standings with 16 wins at Le Mans, a streak built on Marc Márquez’s dominance and most recently extended by French rider Johann Zarco on the satellite LCR team. Yamaha is second with 10 triumphs, while Ducati trails with five.

**Most Sprint Race Wins: Jorge Martín**

Reflecting Ducati’s recent strength at the French GP, only riders from the Borgo Panigale manufacturer have claimed sprint victories. Jorge Martín won aboard the Pramac team’s Desmosedici in 2023 and 2024, while Marc Márquez took the 2025 sprint on the factory bike.

**Most Pole Positions: Marc Márquez**

Marc Márquez holds six poles total at Le Mans—four in MotoGP, one in Moto2, and one in 125cc—tied with Dani Pedrosa (four in MotoGP and two in 250cc). In the MotoGP class alone, Valentino Rossi also shares the record with four pole starts.

**Top Speed: Fabio Di Giannantonio**

The Italian VR46 rider set a Le Mans speed record in 2025, hitting 326.9 km/h on his Ducati. However, that mark is far off the overall MotoGP record of 366.1 km/h, set at Mugello, the championship’s fastest circuit.

**Absolute Lap Record at Le Mans: Fabio Quartararo**

French Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo broke the Le Mans track record twice, two years ago and again in 2025, setting the benchmark at 1:29.324 with an average lap speed of 168.6 km/h.

**Race Fastest Lap at the French GP: Enea Bastianini**

The “Beast” Bastianini posted the fastest race lap at Le Mans two years ago, clocking 1:31.107 on a Ducati.

**French GP Attendance: 311,797 Spectators**

In 2025, Le Mans surpassed the 300,000 ticket barrier for the entire weekend, setting an all-time MotoGP attendance record. Sunday alone drew 120,403 fans to the circuit.
